registration. Non-registered users are granted a trial
period of 10 days. at which time they must decide if this
program is of great enough value for them to register.
DISCLAIMER: All precautions have been taken to insure
that this program is of the highest caliber. Even so the
Author assumes NO RESPONSIBILITY for anything that may
happen as a result of using it. If there is some question
as to whether you have received an un-altered version of
this program please contact the author and you will be
provided an original version.
PHILOSOPHY: The reason for writing this program is purely
personal. I have a strong commitment to early education and
that was my primary concern throughout its development. The
major difference between this and many other children's
programs is that it is mandatory that it be a cooperative
effort with both parent and child in order to get the
maximum effect. That is not to say that a child cannot have
fun playing it by him or herself, only that at least
initially it is designed to be guided by the adult.
PROGRAM: This version ( and there will be others ) ABC's,
numbers, Shapes, Colors and Music. Each one is intended to
its own separate value and to contribute to an overall
value. I have included a breakdown of the program by area
and some suggestions on how to use them. It is important to
keep in mind that much has been intentionally left to the
imagination. This is done because I have learned that when
you are to specific you can actually degrade the confidence
of a child. I need to explain; If you gave a 3 year old a
vocabulary test by showing him 50 pictures of common things
you think he should know. The outcome of the test depends
on alot of things, like, quality of the pictures, his
socio-economic group, time of day, person giving the test,
and so on. You could very likely get a false result. What
I have done is purposely is not create a right answer. That
is up to the person who knows the child best to decide.
PROGRAM BREAKDOWN:
ABC's, The ABC portion is of course the ABC's, multicolored,
a matching picture and the ABC Song can be played. here are
a few suggestion on how to best present it:
#Play the song while pointing to each letter.
#Identify the pictures and the letter it starts with.
#Identify the Differences between letters
#Letters by colors " Which one is Green"
NUMBERS: The Number portion is pretty straight forward.
Each Number is a different color. It also has the song One,
Two, buckle my shoe with it.
#Background Colors
#Sing the Buckle my Shoe song pointing to the Numbers
#Count the sticks
#Count the colors
COLORS: The colors area is pretty straight forward. 8
different colors (4 per screen).
SHAPES: There are 5 Shapes in this part. Of course you can
identify Shapes but also what color they are.
#How many Shapes
#Similarity of Shapes (Oval vs Circle/Square vs Rectangle)
#Use the words to identify Letters
SONGS: This one is also real simple. No pictures just
singing along...
FUTURE: There will be future versions. There frequency
will depend on increased programming skills, input from
users and demand for these types of programs. Special note;
Input is so important to us that we will waive $5.00 of the
registration fee in exchange for sincere constructive input.
REGISTRATION: A registration form can be printed from
within the Program. Our you can send $15.00 to the below
address. Specify disk size so I can send you the next
version which your registration entitles you to.
